The 45 Ming

Chris has been collecting records all his life, which he says "is fun".
He has an awe inspring knowledge and impeccable taste regualrily finding 100% gems in the most unlikely places.

He has compiled many compilations for various labels most notably Fat City and Cherry Red including all three of the 45 Kings albums. A regular collaborator with Andy Votel's Finders Keepers label he was responsible for their Don Cooper reisssue and has selected tracks for their compilations.
"I've been diggin for records since i was kid, started collecting rare soul back in the 80ts when I used to attend northern soul all nighters and this encouraged my first buying trip to the States. Soon I was collecting jazz, soul, funk and specialising in the more pyschy beats and breaks, library, wierdy soundtrack, folk, funk type of vinyl. Reckon I've turned up a few tunes in my time and touch wood will turn up some more." Thats certainly no lie!

You can catch him DJing at B-Music, Friends and Family, Blow Up in Manchester, The Hifi club in Leeds, various spots in Liverpool and hot spots around the world.
