Part 3 of our Producer#2 seven inch series.
This time San Fran meets Manchester with Brainfeeder collaborator Mono/Poly and Fat City's Illum Sphere rocking the joint.
This 7” features San Fran based Charles Dickerson aka Mono/Poly, a member of the infamous Brainfeeder collective, regular DJ at the seminal Low End Theory club in L.A, and has recently been included on the new Beat Dimensions album. Full of soul and rocking a slo-mo boogie feel this track definitely stands out from many of its contemporaries. Mono/Poly is backed by Illum Sphere. After Djing at Sketch City & Hoya :Hoya in Manchester for a number of years ( whilst guesting at reknowned clubs such as Low End Theory in L.A and Friends & Family in London ) Illum Sphere has recently released his debut EP on Fat City and has a release imminent on One Handed Music. “Medusa” is a brooding, layered piece which again has its own particular sound and feel very much intact.
