“System” is an album forged from experience. Nodding towards his love of 80’s boogie, techno, house and deep soul Linkwood maintains a fresh, uncomprimised substance-over-style sound that is uniquely his own.
“Robot Parade” is a dark, menacing opener to the album with successive tracks “Falling” and ‘Fudge Boogie”showing his lighter side. The deep soul influenced “Tears” is perhaps the track for fans of Linkwood’s former releases whilst “System” and “Nectarine” highlight his love for deep techno. As the style and tempo vary throughout the album the listener gains insight into Linkwood’s range and depth of influences.
